I just moved into a house that I bought and the for sale sign is still outside. I have called the number on the sign and they said they would come and get it but that was 3 weeks ago. Can I take the sign down and get rid of it?
Thank you for your question Sharla.
Very often for sale signs are left outside the house after it has gone under contract, this is common business practice, however, once closing occurs the sign should be removed. Since you have already contacted the selling agent and you have not received any action, I would suggest that you contact the agent that represented you when you purchased the home and tell them that the sign is still there. I am sure that they will be happy to come by and pick up the sign for you and ensure that it is returned to the selling agent.
I am curious though as to whether there was also a lock box left behind, you hadn’t mentioned. Generally both of these items would be picked up together and the keys contained in the lock box would be given to the buyer after closing.
If you still cannot get either the selling agent or your agent to come and remove the sign, then I would suggest that you contact your local REALTORS association and they will make sure that any and all items left behind by the selling agent are removed.
Every one acknowledges that today’s life is not very cheap, but different people require money for different issues and not every person gets enough money. Thence to get some home loans and just term loan should be a proper way out.
Hey, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
This is a wordpress blog too.
